We have been working to design the electronics and embedded control system for Morow’s robot that will help people learn to walk again after experiencing a stroke. We successfully created the system to drive actuators for specialised precision motion control.
We are now progressing through Phase 2 of the development which includes advanced patient protocols, software and algorithm development for the HMI user interface, moving closer toward clinical trials.
Project development in this field allowed us to bring our combined experience of working in other sectors where safety critical issues abound. In this case, the absolute need to understand and design for HMI precision that ensures clinician confidence to operate sensitive motion control robotics during patient treatment.
